Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a large, foamy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and citrus/tropical hops, with notes of grapefruit, tangerine, passion fruit and mango. Taste follows the nose, with a great balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly floral, dank and resinous hops, with citrus and lighter tropical notes of pink grapefruit, tangerine, passion fruit and mango, as well as just a hint of pine and grassy weed. Finishes with a light bitterness and some grapefruit and passion fruit lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a light/medium body and medium carbonation.
I'm not really a huge fan of Session IPAs, but I have to say that this does make for an excellent example of the style. While it's a little light-bodied, it's really not too bad for the style at all and actually manages a surprising mouthfeel and quite hoppy, juicy character with some vibrant citrus and tropical notes as well as nice dank and resinous accents. It also doesn't have that overly grassy, kinda chalky character to it that these Session IPAs often seem to take on. Overall, this makes for a very enjoyable, quite juicy SIPA that drinks quite easy and refreshing while managing a good body and mouthfeel for the style.
