Pours a hazy, orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and vague tropical/citrus hops, with notes of passion fruit and grapefruit. Taste is a good balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy hops, with tropical and citrus notes of passion fruit, mango and grapefruit. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and some passion fruit and grapefruit lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This seems like a typical example of the kind of "meh" NEIPAs FrauGruber is pumping out these days. Sure it's all right, perhaps even pretty good, but still a shadow of the the truly excellent stuff they used to make before they opened their own brewery. It's juicy enough, with a decent, not great, mouthfeel, but the hops feel a little washed out and not that vibrant or well-defined at 3 months old. I also seem to remember the previous iteration of this brew having a much more distinct dankness from the Strata to it.
