Pours a hazy, dark orange coloration with a large, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity, slightly caramelly malt and citrus, tropical hops, with notes of grapefruit, orange, mango ands papaya. Taste is a good balance of biscuity, alightly caramelly malt and fruity, juicy, slightly herbal and resinous hops, with citrus and tropical notes of grapefruit orange, mango and papaya, as well as just a hint of pine and herbal accents. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some grapefruit, mango and just a hint of pine lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This makes for a nice Triple NEIPA that's not too sweet or boozy, with some quite juicy, but not that well-defined citrus and tropical notes. I like the bitter, slightly herbal and resinous accents to this, but would have wished for some more expressive hop nuances. At least it doesn't have that overripe hop character which I dislike in TIPAs to it though. Still, while enjoyable enough, it's a far cry from the fantastic TIPAs FrauGruber used to make, a style that they truly used to excel at.
