Carlsberg Classic combines a rich, full flavour taste with the characteristic Carlsberg smoothness and elegance. It is a darker expression of probably the best beer in the world.

Larnaka 13/7 2017. 33 cl can from Micro Supermarket. Bordeaux can with an old fashioned design. I would have expected an darker beer judging from the design of the can and the flavor text. But it seems pretty pale to me.
Pours clear golden yellow with small white head. Disappears more or less after half a minute leaving a thin rim of foam along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is sweetish. A little caramel, sweet malts and light notes of grass.
Light carbonation and watery palate.
Flavor is fairly sweet followed by medium bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with some bitter notes.
I expected a darker more sweet beer. But compared to the many watery pale Lagers haunting Cyprus this is not bad at all.

September 2018: 330 ml can, in Cyprus. Brewed by Photiades. ABV is 5.0%. Deep golden colour, moderate white head. Fairly fresh aroma of malts, caramel and herbal hops. The flavour is moderately malty with some caramel, but the hops are very modest.
