A very drinkable IPA!!! Poured from a16 oz. can into a pint glass, this beer features a big, foamy off-white head with excellent retention. Thick bands of foamy lacing cling to the sides of the glass. On first pour, this beer appears a clear, light copper color. On subsequent pours, it is much more hazy and darker and more reddish in color. Aroma and taste include some caramel malt and mild, citrusy and tropical fruit bitterness. The caramel malt is subdued also, the sweetness is muted and not "up front" like many Red Ales and Barleywines. The bitterness is not accompanied by any distinct flavors but I detected a bit of pineapple in the taste. Mouthfeel is fairly light but rich enough for the style. It is fairly smooth with the bitterness muted and goes down real easy. No noticeable alcohol presence. The can says it all!!!! "This balanced beer appeals to those that like IPAs and those that typically dont...."

Reddish amber in color with a pleasant balance of malt and hops on the nose. Hints of citrus & caramel as well. Upfront on the malt palate with a strong piney hop finish. The finish might linger a tad long. Very drinkable but wishing for less aftertaste.

From the can, it pours a reddish amber with a robust head which slowly diminishes. Bread and caramel malt in the nose, along with some hops. The mouth gets a lightly bitter caramel malt flavor. Nice! Easy to drink.
