Visiting this new brewery for the first time, this is the first beer I am opting to try. Served to me in a standard pint glass, this beer draws a mainly clear, just slightly cloudy/hazy, medium golden/copper color. The color reminded me of apple juice. Has a white head that's about 2/3 of an inch thick when first served to me that settles to a medium to thick sized ring of foam lining the inside of the glass along with little white swirls of foam here and there on the beer's surface. Not much lacing here though. Aromas of slightly toasted, biscuity malt with a slight sweetness that gives way to an earthy, citrusy hop presence. The taste is pretty much the same, with a slightly toasted and biscuity malt flavor that's a bit sweet and that's followed by an earthy and citrusy, just slightly spicy, hop bitterness. While overall this beer is well balanced, overall it is also hop-forward, and the hip bitterness does tend to dominate the flavor profile just a bit. Has a somewhat crisp, yet also smooth and frothy, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean and just slightly dry finish with a nice hop bitter aftertaste. A good beer all around here.
