Having this on-tap at the brewery. Served in a pint glass, this beer draws a clear, dark amber/copper color with a just slightly off-white head that’s 2/3 of an inch thick when first served that settles fairly quickly to a thin ring lining the inside of the glass with almost no lacing. Aromas of some toasted caramel malt sweetness along with apple and plum notes along with some spice notes. The taste is pretty much the same, with toasted caramel malt sweetness and pole and plum notes along with a bit of spice that has hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Has a slight earthy and piney hop presence to round out the flavor profile. An interesting mix of flavors here. Good balance too, although the hops are certainly mild here overall. Has a fairly crisp, also smooth, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate to heavy carbonation. Has a clean finish and aftertaste. A good beer overall and an integrating take on this style.

I tried this at the brewery. It poured a dark amber with no head that left no lace. The scent had some dark fruit like zeal. The taste was a cider red wine base with some Christmas spice hints. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its an interesting beer.
