Appearance - Pours opaque and violet and berry red/purple in color with a pink, half finger width head that dissipates quickly, leaving a thin, broken layer of suds and a thin rings around the edge. No lacing.
Smell - Tart and berry, but very non-descript.
Taste - Follows the nose. Tart, sweet berry notes. You can taste hints of blackberry, blueberry and black currant, but it's all a fairly one dimensional experience.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with fair-to-bitey carbonation. Slick, lightly creamy body before a crisp, slightly dry finish.
Overall - Well shoot. 3 beers into this new Savage series, and I can say it's disappointing. When Mango is my highest rated of the three (and mango is not a fruit I prefer in beer), there's a problem. How do even call this "milkshake" without adding vanilla or milk sugar??
