flavorful pils here, a solid offering, one of the better classic type styles we had in here, but it also has its own personality. i expected clear and super refined, but it looks unfiltered to me, a soft cloudiness to it, but still very light in the glass, a frothy inch of white head resting on top, lively. the nose here is obviously european on both the lager yeast and the malt, its dry, crackery, earthy, and has a clean fresh cereal thing to it. the yeast is lightly doughy, highlights the minerals in the water, and seems patiently deployed. the hops are fresh in the nose, perhaps something more than noble, i get lemon and tea nuances along with more familiar grassiness, seems like good proportions and overall quality, and the flavor agrees. it has the right amount of hop bitterness running through it, ramping up towards the swallow. bready but dry on the grain side, simple all the way, i love the flavor of the yeast, think it flatters the other ingredients, and this ends up traditional without being stale. an easy drinker, but not boring in the least. i didnt love every single beer we had in here, definitely a pretty wide smattering of qualities on their tap list right now, but this one belongs. well done, and i like it not being filtered, leaves a little more of its essence in place without making it heavy or sloppy.
