cool art on some of these new cans, they look good together. this is the basic yellow drinker, nowhere near the character of their relatively impressive pils, but as the mindless rippers goes, this is pretty good. its clean on the ferment, on the dry side but not to the extent that it presents as not flavorful enough, and with an obvious freshness on tap at the brewery that makes it kind of endearing. although summer heat is more on brand for this than winter chill, i think its an all season brand for them. golden yellow colored, rather clear, and with an average most of an inch of white head. nose and taste are clean and minimal, a little pale barley malt and just a touch of a crackery pils malt, but its very light, soft, and easy. the yeast is near invisible but its never zero on the ferment with these guys in my experience, and the hops are real mild on the back end, not even bold enough for this to hit as crisp, but they aid it making it come across as fresh, faint citrus as it warms. not a whole lot here, but sometimes thats nice in this style, and i applaud it for being objectively well executed. that said, it might be the most forgettable of the many beers we drank at their sparks production facility, lots of fun recipes on tap right now, this didnt stand out at all, but they did a fine job with it. a little more carbonation would make it more thirst quenching for my money...
