What is the lone selection not from California at the 24th dipa festival held on February 10, 2024? Why its this beer from the Reno area (Sparks, perhaps). Not only did I add it to this Next Glass owned database (lulzbro), but I'm also writing a review for it.
Pours a sexy golden color with ample clarity. Doesn't hold much of head formation, otherwise the score would be even higher. 1/5" white, quickly dissipates. But the color and clarity are about perfect. The aroma isn't the Riwaka punch, its muddled with some other hops, although Strata does nice strawberry cough things in the nose.
The taste punches much the same, some of that Nelson lite in the form of Riwaka weed and diesel dankness from the front of a big rig. Grain is light and neutral. The mouth feel makes 9% easy to drink, the ibus are 52 and good, a bit of a green hop burn, but it was also consumed at a dipa festival, so not entirely sure this beer is solely to "blame" even though it has a very nice mouthfeel. One of the best Lead Dog hoppy beers I've had.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
