Appearance - Pours a light copper with two fingers of bubbly white head that recedes quickly.
Smell - spicy belgian yeast, clove, fruity esters, biscuity malts, hint of spicy and peppery earthy hops, and hint of dark fruits.
Taste - spicy belgian yeast, clove, fruity esters (cherry, raspberry, and apple) upfront. The biscuity malts and hint of spicy and peppery earthy hops finish off the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes tart and smooth with the yeast and fruity esters lingering.
Overall - A pleasant brew that displays both elements of a saison and a bière de garde. A very malt and fruit forward brew that is quite enjoyable.
