A convincing quad from one of Halifax's more adventurous breweries. Medium brown color with good carbonation and a thick off-white head. Fig, caramel, spice, and at 10.5% a little boozy as well. To be honest I'd prefer this as a dubbel, but as a quad it's definitely a good winter warmer.
A limited bottling for the 2025 Halifax Evergreen Festival on the waterfront. I picked it up at Bishop's Cellar, maybe during the availability days, maybe afterwards? Regardless I wish I'd picked up more than one and it looks like it's all spoken for now.
