A relaxing brewery near Potomac Mills, Virginia (a huge mall) with a lot of sitting space that offers beers of various styles on draft and has multiple huge screens tuned to sports channels.

This place seems a nice little respite within the mall-like community space it sits. It fits into its surroundings well, with a chain-like brewpub feel. The menu seemed to be fairly typical bar food (though tried nothing as to score on this food). Being in a busy area, the place seemed more suited to the tired shopper than the beer geek - which seems like a sound business concept given the business it was doing.
The beers were okay, though they tended to be a tad on the sweet side across the board - not horribly but noticeably so. They spread the styles fairly well, hitting lighter and darket, lower ABV offerings with some more potent brews. They had a lager and a sour in the mix. The quality was fair enough, but I didn't get a sense the brewery was looking more than satisfy customers that were going to be around already.
This didn't come to me as a destination brewery, though you could probably grab a beer there if you were shopping and fine it as a decent respite from the shopping that surrounded the brewery.

Good beer selection and decent quality. Unfortunately, the music was way too loud. We met friends that we haven't seen in years and we had to shout to carry on a conversation. I asked several times if the volume could be turned down but was told that they're trying to strike a balance between what the customers like (loud) and diners that had complained. I get it but probably won't be going back.

brewpub located in the Potomac Town Center - which is one of those fake "downtowns" created by a developer of shops, restaurants, etc. So the vibe is a bit lame. But their is both outdoor and indoor seating, plus a bar area. Decent variety of beer types on tap. I only stopped in for a growler fill, so didn't have any food.

Beer was great (when you go it), food was ok, service was poor.

Spacious brewpub in a massive shopping mall in the DC suburbs. Limited menu of average beer (Irish red, Oatmeal stout, IPA), blonde ale...
Boring brews in a chain-like atmosphere, but the food is very good. Simple bar snacks like crab dip, pretzels and a bratwurst done right and tasty.
Expensive, particularly the beer. 12 ounces of boring IPA go for $7.
Welcome to the upscale suburban jungle.

Great beer and cool spot. The brewery is located in a retail town center-type shopping area. The tap room is large and comfortable and the service is pretty good. Rotating beers available, some light, some medium, some dark, some hoppy.

Fantastic new brewery in an upscale shopping center, yet beer all brewed on site. Fun and lively taproom, with great events and music. Service is excellent, food tasty, and the beer is the best part -- with a nice variety of styles to please a range of preferences. And, it's cool to drink the beer that was literally made just feet away from the bar.
