Aroma is certainly classic hefe with banana and clove, but there is a backing of "green". It's not really a distinct hop aroma, more of a pleasant addition. In time takes on a herbal quality.
Classic look. Large off-white head and very cloudy pale gold.
Hops are more distinct in the taste and hit right away. Again herbal and "green" tasting. Also a streak of herbal bitterness not normally noted for this style. The long finish is absolutely hop related and a little drying. The hops are strong but the are more apparent than the traditional clove and banana flavors.
I think I like a regular hefe better, but for a change and an experiment this if fun. I like it more as it warms and it is worth a try.
