Golden brown and hazy with a beige head. Strong aroma and flavor of banana bread and wheat. Very nicely carbonated. Still fairly light (as characteristic of wheat beers) in comparison to other darker beers. Excellent.

16 oz can. Brownish amber color with a foamy head. Aroma of cloves, banana bread, with a hint of bit of Bit-O-Honey. Seems sweeter than Ewald the Golden but I am not drinking them side by side. Along with the wheat there is a some caramel to go along with the banana and clove yeast esters. Spicy finish. Medium body and superbly carbonated.

16oz can. Stamped canning date is '10/21/20'.
Deep amber colored body, with an active upward bubble stream. Two finger of off white head. Leaves some partial rings of lacing.
Aroma is a lot of rubber pencil eraser, banana and cloves. Sweet spicy smell.
Taste has the wheat tang, along with a mellow roast of malt. There is also a good plenty of banana and cloves.
Mouth feel is above average and creamy smooth. There is a bite at the end of each sip. Excellent carbonation.
Expresses as a properly baked banana bread, with the tangy wheat note.

Top notch dunkelweizen. Pours a mahogany color. Aroma of cloves, bananas and bubble gum.

The flavor includes cloves, bananas, bread crusts, brown sugar, and a light touch of vanilla.

Medium bodied...a light lingering spicy clove finish. Very impressive beer.

Look: brown, large head, little lacing. Aroma: over baked banana bread, charred crust, clove. Taste: banana bread--this time perfectly baked--some clove, ginger. Finish: clove and more ginger. Mouthfeel: chewy, full bodied, sticky without being cloying. Comments: it is so nice to drink an American Dunkel Weizen that doesn't taste like an estery porter. This beer has no chocolate, and that's the way it should be.
