The perfect choice for when you're tired of making choices. This easy-drinking pale ale is brewed with a tropical blend of Citra, Mosaic, and Motueka hops for a bright, aromatic glass filled with citrus fruit flavor. But really, don't think about it too much. Just have a sip and enjoy - You're done with decisions for the day.

12oz can. Bottom date stamp is 'CANNED ON 08/22/25', about six weeks in the can.
Clear, medium amber colored body. Two fingers of off white head with the pour, and this later remains as an interrupted cap and higher ring. Leaves behind irregular shaped lacing spots.
Aroma of freshly baked bread malts, along with some indistinct citrus hops.
Taste is caramel, baked bread, orange and grapefruit. Slightly sweet but has woody and bitter expressions late. Aftertaste resonates with orange and grapefruit pith.
Medium mouthfeel. Coats the mouth and tongue, which really extends the flavor duration. Very good carbonation.
Well crafted mix of sweet and bitter, and lots of flavors from malts and hops.

Utepils wins again. Their malt/grain is just always on point, here it's toasty, warm, and inviting, with a very hoppy backing. This is just a full-flavored in your face pale, but for once it's the malts in the forefront. Thank God for Utepils providing a change of pace.

Decision Fatigue pours a darker, clean copper color with a large, long-lasting head that looks perfect! The aroma is weaker, with lots of earth and dirt notes. The flavor is stronger, earthy, with hints of dough, yeasty, and a little sweet. Good feel. Overall, it is an earthy, bread-like pale ale, darker.

From Utepils "Fernweh" (a beautiful German word for a longing, aching desire to explore far-flung places) 12 Variety Pack, poured from a 12oz canned in November 2023 roughly 3 months ago from opening date.

Appearance: Amber color with mild carbonation and low white head that disappears quickly. Can almost mistake it for an American Brown ale.

Aroma: Light grapefuit. Or Chinese tangerines & dry white wine grapes.

Flavor: Leading mild toasted caramel combined with dominant floral/grape. Very light hops that are more orange than usual piney notes from this style, with surprisingly balanced bitterness in the background for its 39 IBU. Mild viscosity and mouth feel.

Overall: I have only tried Minnesota & Wisconsin Pale Ales and not the biggest fan of this style but the interpretation by Utepils is more complex and balanced than others that I have tried at the $2/12oz price point. Only tried it because it came with a variety pack with other styles I generally prefer (hefe, kolsch, helles), yet this was a pleasent surprise.

On draft at The News Room. Poured a clear, golden amber color with a small, white head of bubbly foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of toasted caramel, toffee and citrus fruit. Nice toasted caramel taste with orange and light, piney bitterness.

From a 12oz can:

Appearance: Clear gold, ok head.

Smell: Dry citrus.

Taste: Mild candy-like sweetness, a little toffee note, mild citrus bitterness, some floral hop notes. Easy drinking pale ale.

Overall: One from a Utepils mix pack, this is a pretty generic pale ale, a little sweetness, a little hoppiness, easy drinking but not too memorable.
