Poured from a tall bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip. Awesome artwork and love the Dostoevsky reference.
L: Inky black pour with 1 finger of brown head. Great lacing.
S: Licorice and char... burned sugars and roasted grains. Light coffee.
T/F: Rich and malty... charred sugars and grains. Licorice and coffee... chicory. Sweet molasses mixed with bitter roast character. Thick bodied and a bit sticky on the tongue. The finish is more bittersweet sugars, cocoa, and coffee.
O: An outstanding Russian Imperial Stout... and best of all... it's actually from Russia. Picked up this bottle in Moldova and brought it home and that was a great decision. World class beer.
