On tap at Old Chicago pizza in Duluth, MN.
L: Pours amber color with a thin white head, med-low carbo, light lacing.
S: Caramelized malts, grains, distant fruity notes.
T: Taste follows aroma with light sweetness then a complex bitterness that is a little bit dirty.
F: Smooth medium bodied mouthfeel with a medium length lightly dry finish.
O: I think this is supposed to be a West Coast style IPA but it lacks the dryness and esp the lemon and sharp bitterness that defines the style. It's okay.

Saw a crowler at one of my local stores and decided to give Moose Lake Brewing a try. Definitely a Midwest IPA but lacks the Golden Promise malt that I like in that style. Very floral and piney with moderate bitterness. There is sweetness present but not enough to hamper drinkability. Impressed with my first Moose Lake beer.

Pours a deep amber color with a nice tan head with great retention. Smells subtly of pine, malty, resiny.Follows the nose, perfect malt/hops balance. Medium carbonation, medium bodied, smooth, crisp, biting. Very great IPA! Really good if you are new to IPA’s!

Canned 11-20-19. Today is 1-26-20
L-Copper colored...light white head..nice clarity
S-Toffee malt impression with floral hop notes..
T-Balanced IPA and a great tasting one at that. The toffee backing is there along with some breadiness on the flavor and the hops bring the floral notes along with a bit of pine.
F-Medium bodied. Nothing off in the least. Clean drinking enjoyable beer. Lighter carbonation out of the crowler.
O-I really enjoyed this beer. After several disappointing experiences with some of these newer smaller places in outstate MN it's refreshing to find something well made. Reminds more of an English IPA o perhaps even an ESB than an American IPA. Very impressed overall with it as a beer.
