Our hazy, juicy & smooth New England IPA made with Citra, Chinook, and Cascade hops. All of the hops are added either after the boil or during fermentation for lessened bitterness.

Canned Oct 30, 2020 - Consumed December 30, 2020.
Pours a hazy and very dank, murky orangish color. 2 finger fluffy, and frothy slightly off white head. There's some very beautiful lacing on the glass as the head dissipates.
The nose is has a nice citrus aroma. It's not a "hot" citrus aroma that a lot of beers of this style have, it's more mellow. Mango, a hint of pineapple is also here.
Taste - A nice mellow mango flavor here in the beer, and just a faint hint of a more pine hop in the background.
Somewhat of a tangy feel here. It's not really creamy, or soft feeling. It's got a good full body, but the mouthfeel isn't right for the style.
Overall, it's good for an IPA. I like the flavor and aroma. The feel of the beer is way off for the NEIPA style, and this distracts from the beer.

From a crowler (7 weeks old) purchased in Duluth on the way up the North Shore...enjoyed while looking out over Lk. Superior, not far from the border. Pours a murky swampy sepia with modest head, modest lacing. Nose is fairly nice: some pungent, wet citrus; some heavy melon; a touch of coconut, which is kind of surprising. The taste and mouthful carries through, but is a little muddled and heavy...not bad, but neither pillowy and soft nor zippy and lively. Bready heavy malts...wonder if this is a little too long in the tooth...?

L-Oak colored...slightly cloudy.
S-Very interesting aroma with coconut, passion fruit and tangerines mingling together. Hints of booze...
T-Similar to aroma with coconut up front and then more tropical notes....touch of the tangerine juice as well.
F-Clean, no hop burn....nothing off at all. Medium bodied. Seems dry on the finish.
O-I've been getting a little burned out on the NE IPA's as of recent times so when I saw this as one of the offerings while in Grand Rapids recently I kind of reluctantly bought it since I have never seen Moose Lake beers before in my neck of the woods and because I vaguely remember some positive thoughts on this forum on Moose Lake. Boy, glad I got this. Really enjoyable NE IPA with an abundance of tropical fruitiness. Unique flavors and take on the style with the dryish finish but well made.
