Not getting as much dankness out of hops as they'd like, Arrow Lodge Brewing turns to cannaibis flavored oils to amp up the rife and lush flavors of the hops. Ya don't get much more West Coast than that!

Buds Best hits the glass with a glowing hazy gold before crowning with a creamy white fluff. As a radiant herbal and fruity perfume align on the nose, a sense of citronella come about. Sweeter and heavier on the tongue, a soft and mellow maltiness of caramel, honey and graham cracker gently coat the tongue.

But then the hops make a strong return in flavor as the citrus oils of orange, grapefruit and lemon are bright and sun kissed. Trending strongly herbal, the flavors of cannabis and their grassy qualities stand out with a peppery bitterness that shares hop flavors of stem, leaf, pine, citrus peels and the overwhelming character that we're not going to pass a drug test anytime soon.

Medium full for such a moderate alcohol IPA, the beer's more plump malt flavors balance the bitterness from hops as well as the more pungent flavors of terpenes. Shy of the crisp, dry and palatable nature of the classic West Coast IPA, still, the beer is delightfully flavorful and certainly drinkable enough.

Apricot in color. Very little head that skims and caresses the sides of the glass. Nose ever so slightly piney. Taste is bitter as a WC IPA should be. Unfortunately the bitterness didn't seem to linger long across the palate. Nice, very drinkable beer.

16oz canned 3-23(?)-20. Opened 5-1-20.
2 finger white head, good retention. Clear and clean, bright pilsner-like straw gold with active carbonation. Spotty lacing. Brilliant clarity, good looking beer.
Bright nose. White wine, diesel, weeds, green, melon, peach, and papaya tropical tilt. Dankness rises as it warms.
Flavors similar to the nose...vibrant, zesty and bright.
Light, clean body. Medium carbonation. Medium length finish with a zesty, tangy lingering hop bite.
Very good, unique aroma and flavor...a little something different.
