A thick pouring beer, that pours pitch black. 3 finger dark brown head. The head retention is very poor. No lacing on the glass.
The nose is light. It has a slight sweet boozy aroma. Not too strong. Not much chocolate on it.
Taste - A nice mellow chocolate flavor. There's a good deal of lactose in the flavor. The chocolate is slightly sweet. There's peppers in it, but, they are so mild, I hardly notice them - confession here - I am a chili head, and it takes a lot for me to notice heat. Others may notice it more than I do. The heat is more on the backside. It does seem to pick up a bit as I keep sipping on it, but it's still not much.
Thje body is thick, and smooth. There's a slight bit of heat from the peppers.
Tasty beer, and a good beer from Eagle Park.
