Appearance: Pours a completely hazy (5% clarity) light and pale yellow to white color with a strong white head. SRM of 7.
Aroma: Strong aromas of lemon citrus, bright orange citrus with some sweet tangerine and cantaloupe melon aromas. A smooth, milky and sweet lemon milkshake aroma.
Flavor: Strong and creamy flavors of orange, cantaloupe melon, tangerine, and some smooth lemon creamsicle flavors. Smooth, malty, leans sweet.
Feel: Heavier bodied, strong carbonation and body to match. Soft, smooth, leans sweet.
Compared to Eagle Park Citra on the Dock of the Bay 12/2022: Pours similar. Similar aromas. More lemon creamsicle and cantaloupe melon. Less tart passionfruit and lemon/grapefruit citrus. Heavier, smoother, maltier, and sweeter.
Compared to Toppling Goliath King Sue 12/2022: Pours similar, similar aromas. More lemon and creamsicle. Less orange and tangerine. Similar body, but slightly less creamy.
1/2023: Pours similar, darker, stronger head. Stronger aromas. More lemon citrus and cream. Less orange, citrus flower, tropical pineapple. Heavier and more creamy.
Compared to Eagle Park Heart it Races 12/2022: Pours a lighter color, stronger aromas. Less tropical and ripe peach, stonefruit, berry, melon. More creamy lemon citrus and flower. Similar creamy oat body and sweetness.
Compared to BlackStack Side Hustle 2/2023: Pours lighter, similar head. Milder aromas. More lemon citrus, flower, lemon creamsicle. Less tropical pineapple, melon, mango and ripe orange. Creamier and softer, but less juicy.
Overall: A great imperial showcase of Citra hops here. Tons of lemon/orange creamsicle, some cantaloupe melon flavor. A big and soft malt body, almost approaching a milkshake IPA but not quite that sweet. Big, soft, smooth, and creamy. (4.22)
