a fresh and fragrant sturdy hazy ipa packed with citra and vics secret, a fine hop combination for a beer like this, bold but no burn, dry hoppy but still with some bitterness, soft for its size. the genius of this, other than the hop combination, is the lightness of it all, this is more pale than the other lower alcohol hazy types we had here, less dense too, really looks kind of delicate for what it is, could be some pils malt in here, maybe some unmalted wheat too, its extremely light, frosted yellow is all, and high headed from the tap, looks great! the hops are equal to one another in both aroma and in taste to me, even though the citra comes first and the vics later on, bigtime herbal aussie notes from sauvignon blanc to kiwi and key lime, even like lemon myrtle or something herbaceous like that, juicy too with the lemony citra hanging in late. there is a cleanness to it, less oily than expected, and with impeccable dryness on the swallow. this is spirited and jovial and fun, the hops drip with summer fruitiness and are hefty but also kind of elegant, picnic type beer. super dialed in terms of quality, a great hazy ipa that shows no sign of its strength at all, really superior stuff. perhaps my favorite ipa i had on our trip to wisconsin, darn near it anyway!
