Once again, the bell tolls at Campanology Brewing, and this time, it tolls for a ripe, refreshing, and superbly sweet-tart Peach Ale! Made in the style of a traditional Berliner Weisse, with a light, wheaty body and distinctly sour notes, the beer experts at Campanology have boosted each batch with a complement of peach purée and both apple and pineapple juice. Every sip of this limited run Ale has a bright, juicy, and inviting mix of sweet and sour, making it the ideal choice for tipping back during the sunny season of late spring/early summer.

16 oz can. Pours muddy orange with tall, foamy white head. Nose is of wheat malt and peach. Body is medium and crisp. Taste is of fruit juice with sour notes and some herbal hops. Finish is long and bitter-sweet. Interesting brew.

Total rewrite of an earlier review of this beer. Certainly not a classic version of the style but if your goal is a fruit- heavy beer that screams “brunch beer” then this one shines. Tall white head of medium to short duration topping peach/ orange opaque liquid. No lacing. powerful fruit smell and taste exactly as expected from the can description. Fairly sweet. Heavy body. Overall impression is an average beer flooded with peach, apple, and pineapple juice to pretty much in line with the can description.

Euhh. What the hell did I just drink? Pours a cloudy nearly opaque appropriately peachy hue -- small white head fades to nothing fast. Peach first on the nose, more candy than fruit, then some metallic flatness. First sip makes me question: Have I ever sipped any liquid that tastes more like vomit? Second sip answers: No, no I have not. Trying to be generous, I work past the self-preservation urge to pour it all down the drain, and I can see that yes, yes there is peach in there -- again, more like a peach jolly rancher than a ripe peach -- and though I don't know if I'd notice it if it weren't printed on the can, but a little canned pineapple juice in the background. Any tartness is hidden behind a maybe lactose sweetness, but like lactose derived from spoiled milk. Honestly, the spoiled milk / vomit taste is what lingers, and I've got to go dump the rest of this pint before it turns me inside-out.
I wasn't expecting much from this, but wow. Avoid.
