Labrosse is actually 2 minutes away from my West Island Office location. No one knows they are located there except for a few workers in the areas. Whiich is kind of funny as most of my colleague drive by to go their big west island houses at 5min.

The feel: Mancave
Service: The guy are great, if you get to talk with the brewer, you might end up with a long beer talk.
Beer: The beer are good, I saw an improvement since the summer of 2017 to now in the winter of 2018; I would say "maturity".

Would be nice to see them outside the "republic of West Island"

I stopped by tonight and while this is clearly a start up it is one that shows great potential. I will elaborate in a review of each section.

Vibe - The building is a shared building in an extremely industrial area. You walk in and the first room is currently empty of all but a foosball table. The owner has told me he plans to turn it into a games room which would be really neat. The second room is the bar. Its fairly small but has seating for 30 concrete brick walls with high ceilings and light fixtures attached to pallets (which I found really neat. The bar seated 7-8 by itself and had a ten tap system in place if I remember correctly. The owner/bartender at the time Troy was friendly and seems to want to build a community around this brewery which is awesome. Also fitting were the flight trays which had handles made of brass pipe :) I really love the setup and like I said while you know it's a startup it is a really well done example and I felt at home and will be back.

Quality - I ordered a flight first and it came on that tray with the brass pipe handles which look fantastic. They had a bunch of 3 oz taster tulip glasses which were great for taking in aromas. The beers I tried first were the ESB, the Pilsner, The Black IPA and the Saison. While I don't want to go into exact flavors a few hours later as I fear I would mess something up I think they were all exemplary of the style they were trying to make. These were excellent beers. I then had a couple Glasses of the IPA which Was filled with grapefruit and citrus fruits up front with some wheat and caramel on the back end! a really nice IPA. These guys are making fantastic beers 4 weeks in so I can imagine this place in a years time! There was a small issue with them running out of growlers but they said they should have them by Thursday so I'll go back and grab one as it will be an excellent method of bringing home each beer to review!

Service - The owner Troy was working the bar and he was friendly, courteous and Chatty. I was quiet for the first 40 mins as I worked on Instagram and Beeradvocate but he was always quick to make sure I didn't need anything and when I started chatting with everyone he was right there in the conversation. I find this very welcoming in someone who is serving and look forward to visiting more often in the future.

Selection - I obviously have to rate this lower than the others as it is a start up. There were 6 beers currently on tap and 2 more fermenting. The styles ranged from a pils to an IPA to an ESB! (Try the IPA and the ESB) you won't be disappointed. All the other beers were great as well but those 2 stood out to me. I give them a 4 on 5 because the styles were so varied and so well done. as I stated I will individually review them soon.

Overall - This is a great new brewery and I see big things heading their way in the future. Being so local I plan to be back a lot and I hope others latch on in such a way. These are the guys you wanna see succeed!
