Appearance: It has a very transparent body with a nice light gold color. There is a medium-short white head with very good retention and nice lacing.
Aroma: It has a very odd smell that is difficult to describe. It smells a bit like old fruity bubblegum mixed with cotton candy. It sounds nice but in reality it is a very awkward smell that isn't pleasant.
Taste: It has a very odd taste, similar to the aroma. Up front there is this pear brandy flavor, which gets stronger in the middle of the palate. It has this nondescript bitter herb flavor as well. It is not very appealing.
Mouthfeel: The body is medium textured with a bit of slickness. It has a high bitterness. It feels odd to drink.
Overall: It is a pretty disappointing beer. The can says "AMERICAN IPA WITH PINEAPPLE" but it never really tastes like pineapple, just a bunch of other strange flavors. I bought a four-pack of this because I really enjoy Great Return IPA, and thought this would be just as enjoyable. It is not. I regret buying it and I would not recommend it. Buy the regular Great Return IPA instead, especially if you can get it in a can.
