Notes: Hops on hops on hops. Hops are obviously the star of the show in Double Ditty. A very simple malt bill of 2 row, white wheat, flaked oats, and the tiniest bit of crystal malt really allow the hops to shine through. The combination of Idaho 7, Azacca, and Sultana give off some truly amazing aromas and flavors. One tiny bittering addition helps offset the amount of malt backbone this beer has, while the rest of the hop bill comes through in massive whirlpool and dry hop additions. Expect giant notes of papaya, resinous pine, pineapple, and ripe mango. Oats and wheat provide a fluffy body to compliment the bold flavors. Given all that’s happening, this beer remains dangerously drinkable.

Tasted in a snifter from a can at City Lights Brewing Company on December 7, 2019. Hazy double IPA generously hopped with Azacca, Idaho 7 and Denali. Various styles of hops in various amounts at various times during the brewing process. Smart.
