L - Yellow-Gold. Slight haze. White, but thin and short-lived, head.

S - Very light grain.

T - Predominant flavor is grain. Moderately sweet. Little bit of lemony hops.

F - Medium-light.

Oddball $1.49 single from Antioch Liquors.

Into a shaker pint glass it pours a hazy pastel yellow, with copious sudsy foam. The bubbles are large, with a loose texture and a sparkle about them. The surface is uneven and craggy like a mountain peak. As the foam dissipates, some soapy lace is left on the glass. Swirling and pouring the yeast, it starts to look like murky dishwater with solid flakes of yeast in suspension.

Clean lemony wheat aroma, wet stone and minerals, hint of coriander or similar earthy spice. Pretty mild and not especially assertive, but pleasant enough.

Flavors are ok, but not really coalescing. Grain husks, mellow wheat, light metallic notes, lemon and mild spice. Some hints of apple cider and very mild oxidation creeping in. It's crisp at first but watery in the finish.

Not sure of the age of this bottle, from the reviews it could have been a one-off in 2009. Along the bottom of the bottle, in black ink is "4123003090421" whatever that means.

Served in a Devil's Backbone weizen glass.

Random single found at the local Binny's. Right on. It pours a lightly hazy light-amber-straw topped by a finger of white foam. The nose comprises green apples, mandarin oranges, light wheat, and a drop of honey. The taste follows a very similar path, though the orange is now lightly musty, the wheat is stronger, and the apples are toned down. The body is a hefty light, with a light moderate carbonation and a slightly watery feel. Overall, a decent brew, but one that's somewhat boring and seems somewhat off, considering the style and the lack of age.

Pours a clear, golden color with some suspended yeast. 1/2 inch head of a white color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of hops, yeast, and slight wheat. Fits the style of an American Pale Wheat Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp with an average carbonation level. Tastes of wheat, slight hop, some citrus, and hint of yeast in the finish. Overall, a decent brew with nice body and good blend.

I can find any info on this beer. Its not even mentioned on the breweries site, and the bottle provides no clues as to alcohol contend or availability so I guessed in listing it as year-round. On to the beer. It pours a cloudy orange color. The head is an inch in height, and recedes within a minute into sparse lacing. More lacing would provide a lot of aesthetics to this beer. The aroma consists of the same generic wheaty tang that can be found in most mediocre pale wheat ales. The taste is more of the same, but with a somewhat higher intensity. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. It is pleasant only in that there is nothing wrong with it. On the other hand it is good, because there is nothing unique about it. I can see myself forgetting about this beer quickly.
