Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance - The beer is served a lightly hazed brick red color with a one finger head of off white fizzy foam. The head fades very fast leaving a tiny bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell - The aroma of the brew is a nice mix of a caramel smell mixed with aromas of a toasted malt and a bit of molasses. Along with these smells comes a touch of a herbal and earthy hop and a bit of toast.
Taste - The taste begins as one may expect from the nose with a decently strong bready and caramel taste mixed with a little bit of a toasted malt flavor. The toasted malt and caramel grow stronger as the taste moves forward and are joined by a bit of herbal hop. Toward the end there are some light dark fruit tastes of cherry and plum (very light) and a bit of a brown sugar and molasses taste the join, leaving one with a decently sweet, but roasty balanced taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel - The body of the brew is average in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is average as well. Overall the feel is nice for the style and makes for a very easy sipping brew.
Overall - A decent brew overall with a nice easy drinking feel. A nice red to try if you get the chance.

Agree with kojevergas review below. I also had to check I was served the right beer as this does not match its style. Toasted oats on the nose which does not translate to the palette. Too sweet for my tastes.

On-draught @ the brewpub.
Tastes more like a honey blonde than an Irish red, lacking the requisite undertone of toastiness and Amber malt.
Artificial fruity flavours are obvious.
Not an Irish red, but rather more in line with Hi Sign's fruited blondes...I had to double-check I was served the right beer. Disregarding the intended style, it's not bad - just forgettable. Certainly too sweet, in any case.
