Look: deep brown where faint light passes through the very edge of the glass. Modest beige head. Spots for lace.
Smell: Dry, grainy burnt malts come strongest. A touch of cream. No sugars.
Taste: I can taste the black patent malt grain. A bit of a chew to the mouth. Good carbonation for the style. Again, no notable sugar. I don't get any coffee or chocolate note -- just burnt barley.
