It's a decent brew and an interesting attempt at making a very elegant albeit, but it's not true to style.
This one ended up being more like a "mild". Malty, dark copper/amber color, caramel.
A proper English Pale Ale is rich golden, elegantly hopped, bright and refreshing.
US breweries have a long way to go in order to properly copy fine Euro beers. Very few actually succeeded, be it a Czech Pilsner, a German Kölsch, an English PA/IPA/bitter.
C+ for effort though.

Canned 01/14/20.
Moderate pour yields a 1/2 inch white head over a mahogany body with some sticky lacing. Nose of malt and a bit of bread and spice. Taste follows very closely with flavors of nutmeg, clove, and cinnamon coming through mid palate right through the finish. Nice feel and overall, a nice stab at an underutilized style and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for something different. Cheers to the guys in Danville, VT!!!

Ca. Murky caramel with lasting head and lace. Caramel herbal leafy earthy boozy aroma. Toasted caramel medium sweetness with medium fruitiness which all cleans up nicely in dry-for-style finish. Medium-to-heavy body with enough carbonation to keep it tight and lively but not fizzy. Excellent. Pleasant surprise in a hit-and-miss style.

Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a ruddy burnt pale muddy orange color. Sly little white foamy head quickly dissipates and leaves a slight lace. The aroma had some pale malts weaving into a biscuit/bready maltiness. Grassy hops hit against some tobacco leafiness and then a subtle floral quality with a slight leathery dryness. The flavor performs with the previously mentioned aromas with a slight cereal sort of taste running in for a nice balance. Sly floral to tobacco and malty aftertaste with the same sort of finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a slight sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. Good ABV - naturally felt. Overall, everything is on par for this American brewer to create a good EPA that I could have again, preferably with some fish n’chips.
