A refreshing Bavarian Wheat beer (Hefeweizen), lightly hopped with Hallertauer hops. Mild bodied and refreshing with some notes of clove spice and a touch of banana.

Poured from a can dated 10/07/20. Pours straw colored with a decent amount of white head; rapidly recedes. Tastes like a hefe - slight sour banana with straw (grass?) after taste. Not bad.

I was skeptical at first wondering if this was a true German hefeweizen but after some smells and sips I realize - yes, a German hefeweizen would be the closest classification for this.
So I poured this into a weizen glass.
The appearance was a milky semi-cloudy pale yellow color with a two finger rocky foamy white head softly dissolving to leave some clingy messy lace.
The aroma carries a wonderful blend of vanilla sweetness to some grassy hops and a touch of crushed clove weaving in and out of a sly wheaty character somewhat toasty. Banana esters are there just a bit tamer than expected.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet end through the vanilla and adding a touch of banana esters. Mild aftertaste of toasted wheat, banana esters, crushed clove and grassiness.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a very good sessionability about it. I could down this all day. Good carbonation and some toasty wheat grips on my tongue with some spicy harshness. Finishes with some crisp grassy notes, clove and wheaty character.
Overall, I'd say a pretty nicely done attempt by an American brewer for a German hefeweizen but I must admit the vanilla level seems to be a bit higher than expected.

Can from Cole's. Hazy with white head that fizzes down to ring like a VT IPA. Wheaty banana aroma with a clove and some apple, maybe a little green. Decent wheaty fruity sweetness with distinctive Bavarian bubble gum residual aroma. LIght minerally herbal bitterness. Very good. One of the better American hefes, but I'll stick with Paulaner or King Ludwig, which are better and cheaper.
