Manual Labor is a classic British-American handshake in a glass. Characterized by graham cracker, malt and subtle semi-bitter cocoa, this seasonal post-work pint is equally appreciated by Rhodes scholars who have never split wood in their lives.

Can to English pint glass.
The appearance was a nice looking dark brown close to black color capped by a thin off white foamy head trying to maintain some level semblance as I sipped this. Just a little wispy concave lace sliding with my sips.
The aroma had a sweet char/ash up front playing with some roasty coffee to dark chocolate tones. Light on the dark fruits then the sweet side of some black licorice.
The flavor was moderately roasty with a slight bitter to toasty sidenote trying to invade with some cocoa powder and over roasted coffee beans (guessing that's why I said 'sweet char' in the aroma). Lingering sweet char to dark toast and a touch of dark fruits in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a steady sipping quality about it. Not as sessionable as I would have hoped being an American porter. Still, good carbonation with a sturdy ABV. Roasty harsh grip on the finish with the black licorice sweetness and dark fruits.
Overall, mostly a pretty good American porter, I could see myself coming back to.

Can. Dark brown with lasting tan head that's quite fizzy at first. Cola chocolate Dr. Pepper earthy aroma Brown porter style creamy and chocolaty with some fig plum fruity yeast tang. Light and creamy. Pretty good.

Poured from a 32 oz crowler filled at the brewery.
Pours a deep mahogany brown color with 3 fingers if khaki head. The retention is eternal, the head leaving a ring of lacing around the glass as it finally settles into a thick blanket of foam.
The aroma brings notes of almonds, dark chocolate, coffee, and dark roasted malts with the faintest hint of floral hops.
The flavor is more coffee forward, starting off bitter and roasted before a wave of dark chocolate and dark malts come through. Finishes hoppy and floral.
The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very smooth and creamy with a dry finish.
Overall, a very good, very straightforward porter that is nicely balanced and quite flavorful.
