From a 16 fl. oz. can dated 06-13-21. Sampled Sept. 25, 2021.

The appearance is a hazy looking golden-lemon juice tone under a modest, lasting white head.

The aromas are subtle but I do get a nice sensation of cooked oatmeal, cereal grain, citrus, and melon. Nothing overwhelming but all rather subtle.

Soft light-medium mouthfeel.

The taste begins with a sweet grainy malt flavor and then evolves into a clean, crisp, and citrus assertive finish.

a really lovely pale ale here, hazy and modern, my first from these guys, its level of refinement alone would make it stand out, this is objectively excellent, but the hop profile is super unique too, and in a world where so many hazy beers rely on the same handful of varietals, its refreshing and exciting to have something new like this. its distinct in aroma and in flavor, with ripe melon and green grape juiciness, fleshy raw coconut, and mild berry, maybe some kiwi fruit, really pretty compelling, fruity without being citrusy really, and the proportions are amazing. the base is dry and fluffy, drinkable but expansive on the palate, with awesome carbonation. i dont get a ton from the yeast here, but i dont miss it, and appreciate how completely and silently it has done its thing here. the hops remind me of heady new school sativa in the nose, but the flavor is less dank and candied like that. id love to know what hops they use here, i was really impressed with this, and it was not too robust for raw fish, which can often get lost to hoppy beers, especially hazy ones. very good pale here, very vermont style to me, ill be on the lookout for more from these guys, this one made an impression!

From a 16oz can, dated 06/15/21. Purchased at the brewery 06/17/21. Served in a willi becher pub glass.

Pours a milky-pale pineapple juice colour with a big, fluffy, two-plus fingers of whipped, pouffy suds. Retention is excellent and leaves a tattered curtain of foamy lacing.

Aroma is fruity-sharp. Papaya, pineapple, orange, rindy melon peel.

Taste is juicy and bready. Bread roll and orange slices, but with a soda-like minerality. Melon peels, papaya and pineapple cores.

Feel is soft and doughy, medium-slick bodied with ample, fine carbonation. But finishes a touch limp.

Overall, a better than decent APA. Despite the flavor being enjoyable, and the mouthfeel, at least intitially, being totally on point relative to the style, it ends just a little weak and watery, unsurprising at 4.8% abv. It is what it is.
