This was another offering that I picked up at ShopRite Liquors in Little Falls not too long ago. Saw that this was a decently-ranked American Pale Ale, and this lived up to that billing as it was easy to enjoy without being heavy or fussy.
Golden in hue and topped off with enough head, the foam took quite a while to settle with the end result being a textbook appearance for a beer of this sort. A fair amount of lacing was left behind as there were some scattered clumps that didn’t form any rings. Turbid hops, weed, and grass were in the nose as the taste contained some pine, more grass, and a subtle dankness that lasted throughout my session. All three hops were featured equally here as this had a bit of Hawaiian Punch and fruit cocktail in it to go along with the more bolder notes.
Slightly slick, full in body, and lightly carbonated, this felt much stronger than it was in actuality. Dated 4/12 on the bottom of the can, this held up well as it was quite green by the time I had this! Heavy-handed for an American Pale Ale, this was fun and quite hoppy without having too much burn, as the lasting impression was that of a left coast IPA from yesteryear…

This is a gem. The flavor that they pulled with such a low ABV is impressive. I get pine and perspiration with such a smooth mouth feel. I get a bit of juice but that’s not what is prevalent. Whatever they’re selling I’m buying. Well done

Your basic New England IPA, but with lower ABV than typical. Slightly more bitter and less juicy than some.
