a very tasty mexican lager here, maybe a little more flavorful and bigger bodied than the most refreshing examples of the style, but the flavors are right and the quality is high. clear and brassy golden colored in the glass with an average white head but nice lace as it drinks. aroma of a saaz type noble hop along with a lemon limey thing i almost always get from this lager yeast when its used right, subtle but different than the european lager strains to me. a touch of sweeter malt is present in the flavor, not quite bready or anything, but it appears something deeper than a pils type barley is at work in here. subtle floral honey and spicy noble hop notes, lime zest essence, and dough. its simple but its good, off dry in the end, obviously a lager in feel, and with still pretty good refreshment value even though its on the maltier side of the spectrum for the style. i liked all the beers i had in here, cool to see so many breweries popping up in the salt lake area, and this is a great place to hang out. good summer drinker here with this mexican lager.
