Ancient Sour in the Future

a neat kettle sour with mango here. i know a lot of beer drinkers in utah have been frustrated by the 4% abv cap for draft beer, and i know its changing a little bit soon, but, i kind of like it, being a guy who wants to drink beer all day and not get wasted, and i think it has had the positive effect of forcing brewers to get creative, figuring out how to make real drinkable beer thats also full flavored and interesting and dynamic from a texture standpoint. i thought the beers in here were all real distinct from one another, which is cool and this little sour was one of the highlights. the mango tastes natural to me, and it is sweet, super forward in the taste and there through the whole drink. its ripe and real and not dominant in an annoying or cloying way, the sourness helps prevent some of that, but this isnt super sour either. subtle hops and vanilla on this as well, good carbonation and fluffy feel, and really something very summery, drinkable, and good. im happy this is at 4% abv and not 6% or more, its a beer you want to have more than one of, and this lower strength allows it. this was among my favorites we drank when we visited their brewery, and all in our group who tried it dug it.
