22 oz bottle
Pours opaque black, tan head retains as a film.
Aroma of molasses, anise, leather and oak.
Flavor is molasses, fig, tobacco, leather, bread, and a hint of whiskey and oak barrel.
Medium body with a light stinging carbonation on the tongue.
Interesting and rich porter. Definitely stoutish especially with the barrel notes. Flavor is a little bland at first but starts to expand as the beer warms. Overall very good, heavy and slow drinking. Definitely worth a try, might be interesting to put some additional age on it.
