Brewed in collaboration with Blindman Brewing.
Appearance - Pours a jet black with two fingers of mocha tan head.
Smell - coffee bean, earthy, leafy, and floral hops, cocoa, roasted malts, and earthy yeast.
Taste - bold coffee bean upfront. Then it goes into the cocoa and hops. The roasted malts and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes smooth with the bold coffee bean lingering.
Overall - A flavourful and potent imperial coffee porter. This one reminds me of Yukon's espresso stout that was retired a while back. Quite tasty if you're looking for a coffee forward brew.
