The number eight represents a new beginning to some, so we're going to back to a classic: a big west coast double IPA to celebrate our eighth birthday!
It's packed with lots of grapefruit and piney bitterness and caramel malts to back it up.
Thanks for sharing the ride with us!

Single can - release from January 2025 - Lot 02425 (?Feb 4/25). About 3 months since packaging.
Pours a deep copper to dark reddish amber colour with a small tawny fine bubbly head (on admittedly a gentle pour).
Aroma of caramel malt, pine resin, grapefruit/grapefruit peel with floral notes.
Sweet caramel malt at the outset on the palate, quickly followed by resinous piney bitterness, grapefruit peel, grapefruit - again floral notes.
Medium full mouthfeel with average carbonation - expected a more sticky resinous character, but falls just slightly short of same. Very good indeed - a bit reminiscent of Celebration which I think is high praise.
