Picked up a 500 ml bottle from The Fresh Market 7-7-21 for $8.99 - Recommended by the market's beer dude. Consumed 9-1-21.
Beer poured reddish-brown with a beautiful off white head that has some decent hang time.
Nose is pungent with red barrel characteristics. Fruit forward with a nice dose of funkyness.
Taste is berry and cherry infused saison beer with a well incorporated dose of funkyness. Finishes with a nice tannin balancing of the sweet fruit.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and surprisingly refreshing.
Overall i have to say this has been the most interesting beer i have tried this year. A job well done by the brewing team to blend a saison with the pinot noir grape! Will have again if i can find it!

Purchased a bottle of this beer at the Appalachian Vintners in Asheville last month on the recommendation of one of the staff. Thank you!
One of my favorite styles, the dark saison. This pours a reddish brown color with good initial head and nice curtain lacing. Tart red wine smell and taste. Pepper spice and dark raisins and berries. Nicely funky. Excellent with food!
