Best guess is that this beer is ~3 years old, but could be a hair older. Gentle pour into a standard pint glass resulted loads of fizzy, short-lived head. The blueberry is clearly influencing the color, so I shouldn't be too harsh, but I just can't get past the fact that the dirty rust color isn't necessarily speaking to me.
Aroma is very, very tart. A close sniff triggered a small coughing fit. A more careful inspection revealed a little more in the way of sour funk, but it's relatively one dimensional on the nose.
As far as taste.....now we're talking. The blueberries and rhubarb combined with deep, but not overpowering oak creates a very enjoyable taste experience. It's plenty sour, but for those of us (raises hand) who enjoy sours and whose palates are acclimated to the pucker, it's certainly not over the top. Very tasty. Light bodied.
Overall, the appearance and nose certainly didn't blow me away, but the taste is quite good.

blueberries and rhubarb in a wood aged wild beer, purple, tart, complex, and delicious, a continuation of the delicious beers i have had from springdale before now. looks like cloudy blueberry juice from the bottle, with some sediment in the bottom and an average amount of head on it, almost white. the nose is puckery with some oak tannins and a well set in bacterial element, some obvious pucker seems to be here from the rhubarb as well, and a lemon note presents itself too. there is immediately a red wine thing going on here with the berries, usually its grapes creating berry nuance, but here its the other way around, pretty cool in combination with the oak, and it comes from the smell to the taste very well. quite sour but it stays away from being vinegary like a flanders type. it also has some nice funkiness as it warms, more wild than just bacterial to me in its latter stages. maybe not quite as complex overall as i hoped it would be, but the fruit is definitely natural, there is more rhubarb here than there ever usually seems to be when its in beer, and its delicious on the whole. subtle boysenberry and strawberry jam too, as this one isnt quite dry. plenty of wood in the finish, citrus to the sour, some blueberry skin tang too, and a beer i would look forward to drinking again. cool combination of flavors here, lots of bubbles, and another good one from these guys!

Poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a semi-dark amber to restrained purple color with a quickly fizzing little white head. No lace.
The aroma takes the sweet and tart bluberry flesh and skin to mesh thoroughly with the rhubarb. Light remnants of lemon, funky wood and a touch of grass round out the edges.
The flavor moderately presents a stellar blend sweet and tart blueberry and a quick tart rhubarb. Barely any aftertaste but what was there seemed a bit blueberry flesh sweet and tart character.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a kind sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt on par. Quick finish of lemon, blueberry and rhubarb tartness.
Overall, very well done American wild ale enuniciating the blueberry and rhubarb wonderfully. I would welcome this beer again preferably in the warmer months.

Drinks a little too fruity. comes across more as a fruit drink rather than beer. First sip is pleasant but after the second sip I already feel I can't drink much of it. Definitely tart, but doesn't have enough of a funky backbone to back it up and round it out.

Pours a mild fizzy head that dissipates quickly, no real lacing, mostly clear strawberry reddish-amber color
Nose brings loads of fruit and sour, acetobacter, acetic acid, big acidic sourness and funk, tart rhubarb, and some generic berry hard to point out blueberry specifically, flemish sour malt, as it warms blueberry becomes more clear
Taste starts pretty sour as expected, big acidity up front, acetic acid, acetobacter, tart flemmy funk and acidic bite, then tart and bitter rhubarb, not much bitterness but a bit, into a mild blueberry flavor, again more generic berry than blueberry specifically but some young tart blueberry notes, turning a little green and fairly bitter on the finish, a touch metallic and sticky flemmy sour acidic late, as it warms a little buttery oak note comes through
Mouth is med bod, big bright acidity and flemmy, decent carb but not quite as much as I expected
Overall it's OK but not great, def wish the blueberry was more dominant, as well as barrel, sourness is OK but a bit too acidic for what it should be, also carbonation was light, it's tasty and enjoyable but not great.

Starts with a small and quickly dying head (similar to soda pop) which leaves no bubbles whatsoever. No lace, naturally. The color is a red-hued, light brown with a moderate haze.
Sour and sweet in equal measures to the nose. Definite lambic feel to the aroma with perhaps a touch of Belgian yeast in the background.
I find rhubarb to be a difficult vegetable to pick up, but it's definitely here--more dominant than the blueberry initially. The carbonation is very low, making the body seem fuller than it actually is. The swallow brings out a strong tartness that fades slowly (and completely) in the aftertaste. Also noteworthy in the swallow is a stronger blueberry flavor, almost like an unsweetened soda.
