Pretty slick beer. Lacing pastes itself on the glass as it goes down in a tulip. Murky orange color that gives some clues. Very malty in a fantastic way. The rye and hop interchange has a fantastic malt pallet to play on top of. Rye here can’t be unsung. Really an under appreciated grain when looking for a crisp and hoppy beer. Some nice bitter on the linger along with dryness from real fermentation on a less than candy coated yeast.

16 oz can into IPA glass. Dated 3/28/19.
Look is nice golden yellow with light orange hue. Smell is sweet tropical fruit, slight apricot and a little dankness. Taste follows nose with a little dryness and grapefruit at the end. Feel is medium. Overall a nice IPA that I would drink again.

6/10/18 canning, features Mosaic and Comet hops...

Medium murky gold body, opaque, with a finger or two of head above... Musky and earthy, but without any "cool" dankness... Maybe its just my sense of taste at the moment, but my initial impression was rather meh... Grassy and vegetal impressions override subtler fruit notes... Not particularly sweet, mildly bitter, moderately carbonated... Body feel medium-to-light... Hard to describe why this beer is missing the mark for me... Maybe it's "boring" - I can't say its bad, but I can say I'm not likely to finish it as it doesn't have anything interesting to offer... Getting something almost onion-like on the finish? An odd one for sure - you could take a pass without regret, but I'm still drinking it, so take it for what you will...

Poured from a recently gifted can into the test glass.
A - Hazy bordering on muddled, dark orange color, thin cap of white is quick to recede.
S - Tropical notes of orange, pine apple and papaya are overshadowed by a strong vegetal band, there is some onion and rotten grass.
T - The bad elements of the nose are not as dominant here, more in the way of the tropical fruits dominate, with some white pepper and a bit of chemical astringent.
M - Soft water profile, full in body, well carbonated the feel is the best element of this offering.
O - This has the potential to be very good, with some tweaks i"m sure it will be.

Pint can 10/25/17 opened on 12/11/17

Golden orange color, light amber hues. A white foam rises high, dense and bubbly, recedes rather quick to a very thin, bubbly layer and nice lacing in it's wake.

The nose is pungent and very strange. Some sort of musky, herbal funkiness is mixed in with tropical fruits, prickly pear, spice rack, mellon, pineapple and tart citrus. Unique and ratger bazzar aroma.

Well, whatever the extra musky, earthy funk was in the aroma, it translates into a very interesting earthy, charred wheat and herbal flavor. A bitter, sharp, hop bite hits you right off, mellows quickly to a juicy, fruity thing with more herbs and spices under that.

This one is rather easy, complex in strange ways. Unique , odd but worth checking out if you love hops.

Thanks to JLindros for hooking me up one of these.

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice hazy golden hue with a thin one finger creamy white head that fades to leave a dense blanket with light side lacing.

S - Aromas of tropical fruit, light passion fruit, oranges, juice and zest. Some spicy earthy hops, decent amount of onions. Sweet caramel spiced onions. Nose turns more tropical as it warms though.

T - Taste is similar to the nose. Loads of tropical fruits, musty passion fruit, some dank hops too. Nice juicy oranges, light flashes of spicy earthy hops. Very light bitterness and some flashes of pine. The finish is a little candied orange as well.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, little fluffy, light lingering bitterness.

O - Overall this was a solid IPA, though the mosaic clashes with the comet pretty fiercely on the nose.

Canned 10/25/17
Pours a light fluffy foamy head that fades semi slowly, some lacing, very hazy tangerine orange color

nose big dank musty tropical fruit, passion fruit, a bit of tart lemony, orange juice, grapefruit, super musty dank with a bit of onion and armpit, orange pith

Taste brings more citrus, orange peel, lots of pith, generic citrus and some orange juice tangerine like, tropical notes with a little passion fruit pineapple like, some orange tangerine cream, a little peachy stone fruit, mild creamy malt. Mild bitterness that ramps a bit, hops get a little piney and spicy, no onion and only a little dankness thankfully.

Mouth is med bod, a touch creamy, decent but lighter carb.

Overall meh, nothing special, nose was harsh, taste was OK, but nothing special, they've made much better IPAs.
