Canned 8/18/20
Pours a tan frothy thick 1.5 finger head with great retention, nice lacing, dark almost jet black color
nose is very nice, big roasty malt, nice high roast level without being charred or acrid, layers of dark chocolate, cocoa, a bit of coffee, light spicy hops, touch of caramel and cookie dough spice
Taste brings more big roast, again nice roast level without char or acrid, more cocoa, dark chocolate and biscuity cookie dough, hint of caramel, touch of baking spice, and a little coffee, light roasted acidity as well, a bit of spicy hop bitterness, drier finish, more roast lingering with more spice notes
Mouth is med to a bit fuller bod, rich as well, med foamy carb
Overall quite a nice porter, great roast without acrid, nice cocoa, very well done porter and quite enjoyable and I hope this becomes a regular offering
