w/ vic secret and motueka hops.

A: Pillowy firm head, off white color, forms above a darken and dank orange colored body. The effervesce is crazy here, fierce and dense like a tropical storm. Great globs of lace stickage forms long strands surrounding the interior glass walls with a great degree.

S: A lemony citrus scent, fair in strength, leans more toward the wet side of things. Some spicy grapefruit was refreshing, tart and citrusy, but wished for a bit more emphasis. Some follow of baby tangerines.

T: The flavor was spicy tangerines, lightly tart with some orange cream hops. Some traditional pine and floral hop flowers follow. Perfumy alcohol has a gentle dry ending with some tart grapefruit.

M: Mouthful was tingly and sharp from the aggressive carbonation. Tart and tangy, dances on the tongue, nice fuller body per style with some sticky resins.

O: Overall a well hopped ipa, finishes with some spicy fueled alcohol and grapefruit drive. Big pillowy mouthful is soft, while the hops stand out against the malting. Sticky hop resins, and good utilization of some lesser used hops. 6.5%abv makes for a nice big drinking, spicy hopped ipa.

Vic Secret & Montueka hops.

Old school look, not at all NE/Hazy thickness, only a slight tint within a burnt golden color, yellow and orange hues. Thin white foam spreads out real quick. Nice lace.

A big tropical fruity and sweet piney aroma from the hops. The nose also has a pilsner funky, crispy and sour earth, herbal tinge.

Crispy herbal and sour earthy malted grains is what I taste first, for whatever reason I usually taste the malt aspect first, even with IPA's. After that it's a mild current of juicy pine, sweet Citrus and ripe tropical fruits, less sweet than the nose has in affect, but still layered up complexity is nice. Peppery, dry hops taste herbal and leafy in the finish. Aftertaste is sour and dry leafy roughage.

Odd in most ways for a NE/Hazy, as it has mostly old school IPA effects, still very enjoyable. Even if it does have an identity crisis.
