Pours a light fizzy head with low retention, slight hazy light golden color

Nose a little tartness, lots of citrus, lemon-lime, lime zest, orange, faint smokey character, lots of citrus juice

Taste brings plenty of tartness, sweet citrus on top, some sugar, smokey character and some salt as well, lots of lime and orange juice but a bit on the artificial character, but finishes just like a tart margarita somehow

mouth is med bod, med lighter frothy carb, flemmy finish

Overall interesting, not as good as I hoped, decent but not great, and not much actual beer

Given the beautiful weather outside, I decided to reach for a beer that’s light and tart to enjoy in the sun. The second I grabbed it out of the fridge, however, it started pouring and the thunderstorms rolled in. Well, this has now turned into sipping a margarita inspired beer while I watch the storm from inside. Let’s see what it has to offer

Pours a cloudy gold with 2 fingers of white head that almost instantly fades to nothing and leaves no lacing at all

Oh wow, that smoked sea salt does something really nice here, feeling like a distant cousin to a Rauchbier. I’m picking up on aromas of burnt beechwood, doughy malt, sea salt, lime zest, orange zest, acidic lemon juice, and a hint of toast

This stays nicely subdued up front and then bursts into tart and smoky flavors immediately upon the swallow. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting orange juice, campfire smoke, crackery malt, light salt, and lime. The swallow brihns notes of sour lemon, beechwood smoke, orange zest, bready malt, light pepper, and toasted grain

A medium body pairs with very gentle carbonation, resulting in a refreshing beer. Finishes slightly sticky, but with a nice balance

Well color me impressed, this is quite delicious. Certainly a unique beer, one I hope they brew again
