To a world of drink and laughter, we toast with this barrel-aged beer rested on Barbera grapes. Ruby red, vinous and mysterious, it just might inspire your wonder at its creation.

My final bottle in a round of Springdale’s Wild Ales that I picked up a few weeks ago, we have one aged on Barbera grapes. I don’t have much in the way of expectations but I imagine this’ll be quite good
Pours an opaque reddish purple with 2 fingers of pink tinted head that quickly fades to nothing and leaves no lacing
This one is very tart and wine like in the nose. I’m picking up on aromas of red wine, tart black grape, black cherry, light brown augar, sharp oak, blackberry, and vinegar
This is just sublime in taste, so much rich and tart wine. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting tart black cherry, cocoa powder, tannic red wine, vinegar, smooth oak, brown sugar, and brown sugar. The swallow brings notes of red grape, brown sugar, dark cherry, brown bread, old leather, lemon juice, and light vinegar
A medium body pairs with moderate carbonation, resulting in a tart and dry beer. Finishes neutral with a nice tartness but in a deep way
This is a good way to end a run of Springdale Wild Ales. Just reminds me why I love this brewery
