Poured from a 16 oz can into a Dogfish Head tulip. Picked up at the brewery and consumed within 2.5 weeks of canning.
L: Dark amber pour with thick fluffy white head. Nice ring of lacing. Odd color for a milkshake IPA.
S: Sweet and malty. Biscuity grains. Citrus and fruit.
T.F: Sweet and super malty. Too sweet and into the 'cloying' department. Decent nonspecific citrus. Some orange and tangerine plus tropicals, but overwhelmed by the sweets/malt/lactose. No bitterness at all. Creamy mouthfeel. Medium bodied.
O: Far too sweet, even for a milkshake IPA. The flavor wouldn't be bad otherwise... and the first sip or 2 were okay before it became cloying. The recipe needs work.
