Poured a light burgundy color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled quite malty with a light grassy hop presence. It tasted sweet and malty with a mild bitter bite. Didn't really work as an IPA.

I swear they gave me the wrong beer as they also had a Malt Whisky Ale available which was described as a Scotch Ale with smoky, peaty flavors. That's exactly how I would describe the "IPA".
I asked and they assured me it was the IPA so I'm rating it as such.
